April 2025 Newsletter

Hello from the WBR Team!

As daylight saving has ended, we can feel winter approaching. April has zipped by, and we hope everyone had a fantastic Easter break. Our WBR team took some time off during Easter to relax and enjoy quality moments with family and friends, leading to a couple of shorter workweeks.

Despite the Easter break, the team has been busy transporting houses from Drury, Tokoroa and Matamata back to our yard to increase our housing stock. These homes are for sale and ready for viewing. Three new builds from Auckland to Rotorua have also been moved, and we are excited to share that all three houses are now in their designated spots, with the piling work completed. The crew worked incredibly hard to wrap everything up by the end of April. We can't wait for the new families to move in and enjoy their beautiful new homes just in time for winter.

May is shaping up to be a busy month for us, with relocations scheduled all across the North Island and various piling jobs around Waikato. We’ll kick off the month by moving a house from Waikato to Hastings.

Cheers,
The WBR Team

Pick of the Month

Feature House “The Smith”

We wanted to feature this 1930s double bay house because we don’t often have the privilege of marketing such an original, untouched old girl like this one.

She is in fabulous condition with so many original features, decorative moulded ceiling, panelled doors, original steel hardware throughout, wide skirtings, and wooden joinery.

Not only that, but it has a great layout, and with a little imagination and vision, this could be re-imagined to suit your family’s future needs.

She is 103 sqm approx., 3 bedrooms, 2 living areas, a main bathroom, and a large laundry with WC that could be converted to a second bathroom.

The native timber weatherboards are in good condition, and it has an original long run iron roof.

Watch this space, coming soon! “The Gateway”

Built by Versatile Buildings, this cute little cottage could be just the ticket!

Previously used as the show home office at Versatile, it has two bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a large open plan living space.

It has a small kitchenette which could be converted back to a laundry, and a reception area would be the new kitchen.

The cottage is in great condition with iron cladding and roof, aluminium window joinery and wooden veranda, making it the perfect low-maintenance option for your second dwelling, workers' cottage or offices.

At a smidge over 60 sqm approx. 9100 x 6700 plus veranda, it’s an easy one-piece move! Enquire Now

Thinking of relocating a home? Let's go through the process

Opting for a relocatable home is an environmentally responsible decision. By preserving a house from demolition, you are averting unnecessary waste from entering landfills. This practice represents the highest form of recycling, mitigating environmental impact while establishing your new home.

Here is the process we can guide you through.

Your journey begins with a conversation. Tell us about your home, your destination, and your timeline. We'll assess the feasibility and outline the best options for your situation. Whether it's a first-time move or you’re a seasoned mover, we are here to guide you.

STEP 2 - Planning

Detailed planning ensures a hassle-free move. We conduct thorough inspections of both the current and new sites, establish the best routes for transportation, and prepare necessary permits and documentation.

STEP 3 - Preparation

Before the big move, our crew prepares your home for transportation. This involves securing structural elements, co-ordinating the disconnection off utilities and services and ensuring the home is safe and intact throughout the journey.

STEP 4 - Transportation

With the road ahead planned and your home ready, transportation begins. Our specialised equipment and expert team ensure your home travels safely to its new location. We keep you updated every step of the way.

STEP 5 - Installation

Arrival at the new site is just the beginning. We carefully position and, if necessary, reassemble your home. Final adjustments are made to ensure everything is perfectly aligned and securely placed.
